StreetGames
What is StreetGames?
StreetGames is a national award winning sports charity that brings sport straight to the doorstep of young people living in disadvantaged communities, offering activities where they want it, at times they want and in a style they want it.
What is StreetMark?
Plymouth City Council's Sports Development Unit has been awarded with StreetMark, which is an accreditation that quality assures the provision of StreetGames projects by embedding minimum standards for community sport.
Who can join in?
Any young person aged 11 to 25.
Where can I find a StreetGames session?
Open access StreetGames weekly sessions can be found at the following locations:
Old North Prospect Primary School
- Day: Tuesdays
- Time: 6pm to 7pm
- Age: 8 to 13
- Activity: Football
- Day: Tuesdays
- Time: 7pm to 8pm
- Age: 14+
- Activity: Football
Whitleigh Youth Centre, Woodside Campus, Lancaster Gardens
- Day: Thursdays
- Time: 5pm to 6pm
- Activities: Mixed sports including frisbee, tag rugby and football
Titchy Park, Greatlands Crescent, North Prospect
- Day: Fridays
- Time: 6pm to 7pm
- Activities: Football, basketball, ruby and more
Freedom Fields Park Games Area
- Day: Fridays
- Time: 7pm to 9pm
- Activities: Football, cricket and more
StreetGames with existing young peoples groups
Frederick Street Youth Centre
- Day: Tuesdays
- Time: 6pm to 6.45pm
- Group: Boxing as part of youth session
Devonport Park Cafe
- Day: Tuesdays (fortnightly)
- Time: 4pm to 5.30pm
- Group: Young Friends of Devonport Park – planning community sports event
Frederick Street Youth Centre
- Day: Wednesdays
- Time: 5.30pm to 6.30pm
- Group: 4 me and my friends. Group sports session for young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder
StreetGames with Affinity Sutton in St Budeaux and Barne Barton
Bull Point Astro
- Day: Mondays
- Time: 6pm to 7pm
- Activity: Football
Marine Academy Plymouth , Trevithick Road
- Day: Wednesdays
- Time: 8.15pm to 9.15pm
- Activities: Various sports
- Day: Friday
- Time: 12.30pm to 1.45pm
- Activities: Parkour and street dance
The Barn, Kit Hill Crescent
- Day: Monday
- Time: 5pm to 6pm
- Activity: Boxing
