Awards for All
About Awards for All
Awards for All is a grant programme set up to help small groups. It is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Arts Council of England, Sport England and the National Lottery Charities Board.

The main aim of Awards for All is to fund projects which involve people in their local community, bringing them together to take part in and enjoy a wide range of arts, sport, heritage, charitable and other community activities.
Awards for All in England aims to:
- support community activity
- extend access and participation
- increase skill and creativity
- improve the quality of life
Who can apply?
The Awards for All programme is designed for local groups with particular emphasis on those with an annual income of under £15,000.
Your group can apply for a grant from Awards for All if:
- you are a not for profit group
- you have a constitution
- you have a bank or building society account which requires at least two signatures
- you can enclose your most recent annual accounts or statement of income and expenditure
- you need a grant of between £500 to £5,000
- you can spend the grant within one year
What kinds of activities will Awards for All support?
Awards for All want to fund activities by small groups which:
- involve more people in a wide range of community activities
- are open to everyone
- are well organised and planned
- benefit the community
Here are some examples of things you might want a grant for:
- putting on an event, activity or performance
- providing training
- setting up a pilot project
- running a conference or seminar
- equipment and materials
- transport costs
- volunteer expenses

How can the Sports Development Unit help?
If your club/organisation is interested in applying for an Awards for All grant, the Sports Development Unit can assist/support you with your application.
They have the knowledge and experience to advise on a variety of areas from producing a sports development plan, creating a club constitution to financing a project.
