Sports employment
Plymouth City Council employs a number of staff throughout its sports and leisure centres and within the Sports Development Unit.
Examples of the range of staff employed by the Council include; sports development officers, duty managers, leisure assistants, receptionists, lifeguards, swimming teachers and instructors.
For those already working or intending to work in sport, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity, the Sports Development Unit offers a programme of coach and volunteer education. The Sports Development Unit is able to offer general advice and guidance to individuals who are interested in a career within the sport and leisure industry.
