Have your say
We want to provide the best possible service to all our customers. You are the best people to tell us how well we are doing.
Compliments
It’s good to hear from customers who tell us when we’ve done a good job, so we can learn from that and spread good practice to other parts of the Council.
For more information please visit the Compliments page.
Complaints
It is also important that our customers tell us when we don’t provide a good service, so that we can apologise, put it right and try to stop it happening again.
For more information please visit the Complaints page - however if your complaint is about a councillor you will need to read our How to complain about a councillor page. The process for this sort of complaint is different.
Suggestions
If you have an idea that you think could improve the way we do things - don’t keep it to yourself, tell us! With your help we will keep improving.
For more information please visit the Suggestions page.
Social Services complaints, comments and compliments
Social Services have their own dedicated contact procedure as required by law. If you wish to contact us regarding complaints, comments or compliments, please contact the Social Services Customer Relations Team.
For more information please visit the Social Services complaints, comments and compliments page.
More information
Links on this page give a summary explanation of how to make a compliment, complaint or suggestion and how it will be dealt with. For more detailed information see the file attachment below.
Data Protection Statement
We will hold personal data about you in our case files and on computer. This will include data you provide to us and information about you that other people give us in response to our enquiries. We will hold this data securely and only use it to help us to deal with your comment or complaint. You have rights under the Data Protection Act 1998 to have a copy of your personal data. There are exceptions to this right, the main one being where we feel that releasing particular information to you would prevent us from properly investigating your complaint. A fee will normally be charged.
