Cornwall People First Quality Checkers
The Quality Checkers look at the services provided for people with learning disabilities in day centres, supported living and residential homes.
The checks are carried out by people who have learning disabilities themselves.
St George Community Resource Centre is the first centre to be presented with a 'Golden Key' award for its high quality of care.

CPF are offering free Quality Checking training to anyone with a learning disability and for volunteers and buddies.

The Mental Capacity Act is a law which tells everyone how health and social care staff should work for people who may be unable to make some decisions about their care and treatment.

Carers support group for carers of people with autism.
Any carers who look after adults or young people age 16+ with autism are welcome to attend.

Special Olympics Plymouth & District (SOPD)
SOPD run a Wednesday club from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Plymouth YMCA.
SOPD offer various sports.
There is a weekly session charge of £2.

Increased prison sentence for disability hate crime murders.
The government will now make sure that the prison sentence for disability-related murders will be the same as other hate crime murders.
The prison sentence for disability related murder is 15 years, this could increase to 30 years in line with murders linked to a persons race, religion or sexuality.
