    Supporting People is a national programme that gives you the chance to live a more independent life in the community.

    Supporting People helps you to find a home and set it up.

    What should you do if you would like some support to help to live on your own?

    Talk to your support worker or carer.

    Contact the service you think can help, or ask your support worker or carer to do this for you. This is called making a ‘referral’.

    The housing service will let you know if they have any spaces.

    The housing service will find out where you might like to live and show you pictures of houses that have space.

    They will let you know when they are able to help.
