Plymouth Fostercare Policy Statements

The pages in this section contain policy statements relating to the provision of fostering services by Plymouth City Council. Each policy statement:

• relates to a specific activity of the service
• explains the statutory framework relating to that activity
• outlines our values and standards
• explains how the service intends to meet these standards
• makes clear our expectations of staff and carers.

Although the policies have been designed to be user friendly they inevitably contain some jargon and if there is anything that is not clear to you, you should ask your supervising social worker to explain it to you.
