The Council uses Pertemps Limited for the supply of temporary agency workers (which includes Network Health).
Agency worker regulations
The agency workers regulations give agency workers entitlement to the same basic employment and working conditions as directly employed staff after 12 weeks doing the same job.
Temporary workers will remain employees of Pertemps Limited and will not become employees of the Council.
Agency workers may apply for internally advertised vacancies (permanent or fixed term) if they are on a current assignment and have carried out continuous work for the Council for six months or more. Confirmation of continuous service will be sought from the agency.
