Customers who are eligible for a bus pass from 6 January 2016 will be able to apply from Monday 21 December 2015.
All applications made by close of business on Wednesday 23 December 2015 will be processed and cards dispatched no later than Christmas Eve.
Anyone applying on or after Christmas Eve will have their pass dispatched on Monday 4 January 2016.
What is the national concessionary bus pass?
Everyone who is resident in England and who is of pensionable age or those with certain disabilities are entitled to a bus pass giving free off-peak travel on registered local buses anywhere in England. 'Off-peak' is between 9.30am and 11pm Monday to Friday and all day at weekends and on public holidays.
In Plymouth we offer an additional benefit to our residents aged 80 years and over, and those registered blind who can travel free at any time of day up to 11pm on Mondays to Fridays and all day at weekends and on public holidays. Please note that this additional entitlement to travel before 9.30am on weekdays only applies to journeys made within Plymouth.
Existing pass holders can request a new pass offering the additional entitlement up to ten days before their 80th birthday or at any time after by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling the Public Transport team on 01752 668000.
