Car sharing
Carsharedevon.com is a free service that links drivers and passengers to share car journeys and could save you money.
Car sharing is flexible
You choose:
- the time of day
- the destination
- male or female
- smoker or non smoker
- regular or occasional trips
All you have to do is:
- Log onto carsharedevon.com.
- Register your details and enter a journey.
- You will receive an activation email. Click the link on the email and the system will search for your potential travel companions.
Carsharedevon’s 5th birthday competition
To celebrate our fifth birthday a caption competition was held from 7 January 2008 to 15 February 2008. Over 900 people entered the competition which was fantastic. Furthermore it was really hard to pick the winner because of the high calibre of the entries. However, Councillor Wigens (Plymouth City Council), Councillor Rogers ( Devon County Council) and Counillor Lewi (Torbay Council) selected ‘ Share Cars , Not Queues!’ as the best suggestion. Congratulations to Mr Gordan Smith, Dawlish who submitted the winning entry and will receive £100 of vouchers as his prize.
The winning slogan will be printed on car windscreen stickers in time for carsharedevon.coms fifth birthday on the 25 March. If you would like a car windscreen sticker please email travelwise@devon.gov.
