Parking in Plymouth
The Parking Unit of Plymouth City Council is a self-financing trading entity, responsible for overall parking, management, administration and enforcement of on and off street parking, permit parking and penalty charge notices (PCNs). Plymouth City Council strategy is designed to manage traffic levels whilst ensuring good quality parking provision. Management policies favour visitor and shopper parking.
If you have received a parking fine the ticket may make reference to the fact that you can pay the fine online via this website. Unfortunately this is not possible at the moment and we are unable to accept online payments for parking fines. Your Penalty Charge can be paid by phone on 0845 3000600 or by sending a cheque or postal order to the address on the back on the Notice. We are working to implement an online payment system and hope to have this operational during 2009. The alternative payment methods stated on the penalty charge notices are available. We apologise for any inconvenience.
What we do:
- provide and manage off street parking
- manage on street parking arrangements
- implement civil parking enforcement (CPE)
- manage and develop the City Council's car parks and related security initiatives
- manage Bretonside bus and coach station parking together with overnight lorry parking
- manage secure collections from parking sources
The Parking Shop
The Parking Shop is currently located on the ground floor of the Civic Centre area. The entrance to the Parking Shop, which is now incorporated in the cashiers section, is to the right of the approach to the main revolving entrance doors. It is also the location for the collection of all parking permits.
Important note
Penalty charge notice queries should be directed to Plymouth City Council, Admail 3313, PL9 7BF. Telephone 0845 3000 600.
