The Pedestrian Strategy
Since the publication of the first Plymouth Local Transport Plan (2001-2006), of which the Pedestrian Strategy was a supporting document, a stronger emphasis on the benefits and importance of sustainable transport has been emerging and is reflected within Plymouth's Pedestrian Strategy.
The first edition of the Pedestrian Strategy was developed to coincide with the deadline for the Provisional Second Local Transport Plan (LTP) in July 2005. This second edition was updated in August 2006 and includes a number of minor alterations and amendments following consultation and to reflect the focus and objectives of the final LTP2.
