What is HouseLet?

HouseLet is a highly successful guaranteed rental scheme.

Plymouth City Council becomes your tenant and pays you a guaranteed rental income, even if the property is empty, meaning that you do not have to worry about rent arrears or voids.

We pay you rent quarterly in advance and it starts just 14 days from the date the lease is signed.

We even offer a full property and tenancy management service, provided by Tamar Housing Society, an established local housing association.

We take on responsibility for the management of the occupants and your property, so if the occupants break the terms of their contract any legal action is paid for by the Council.

Any damage caused by the family living in your property will be repaired and you will not be charged for this.

This unique service comes completely free of charge to you.

What happens next?

If you are interested in letting your property through HouseLet just give our team’s negotiator a call on 01752 307570 or complete our online form. We can send you more information on HouseLet and our negotiator can arrange to view the property.

If your property is suitable then we will offer you a one, two or three year lease agreement, which can be renewed at the end of the term. There are no renewal fees.

The rent is agreed at the beginning of the contract and you will receive this on the first day of each quarter throughout the lease period.

We will find a suitable family to occupy your property and Tamar Housing Society will inspect it within seven days of occupation followed by four weekly inspections.

Between occupancies we will pay for the gas appliances to be inspected by a qualified Gas Safe engineer and if necessary for the property to be professionally cleaned.

At the end of the term we make sure your property is handed back to you with vacant possession and in a good condition.
