Local Housing Allowance room calculator
Local Housing Allowance (LHA) is based on how many bedrooms you and your household need. Please fill in this form to work out your room entitlement.
When you click on 'submit', your room entitlement will be displayed at the top of the form. To view the current LHA rate for that number of rooms please visit our current rates page.
Please note that from 6 April 2009 the maximum LHA rate payable for all new claims will be five bedrooms. There are also changes to the rules for existing claimants in receipt of the LHA rate for six or more bedrooms. Please see the room entitlement page for full details on the changes and how they may affect you.
