Glass and furniture
Glass
The museum holds a small collection of glass, mainly comprising of tablewares from the 18th and 19th centuries. It also includes a pair of 17th century green goblets, 18th century snuff bottles and 20th century art nouveau pieces. Some of the collections can be viewed in our Atrium Gallery displays. A new contemporary glass commission, 'Lens' by Glenn Carter is also on display in our half landing window.
Furniture
The museum’s collection of furniture is small and focuses mainly on 17th and 18th century English domestic items. Many of these can be found on display in the Elizabethan House on Plymouth’s Barbican. Don’t miss the 16th century four poster ‘tester’ bed made originally for Littleton Hall in Worcestershire.
