Galleries and exhibitions

Items from our natural history, fine art and decorative art collections are now on display in our galleries. Visit the galleries page for more information.

'Family Album', featuring a range of stunning works from the National Portrait Gallery, is now open. 'Plymouth Society of Artists Autumn Exhibition', showcasing work by members of this long-established group will open on Saturday 15 November. Visit the exhibitions page for more details about these and other forthcoming shows.

Events and activities

Details are available from our events section. We offer lunchtime talks and concerts for adults, holiday workshops for children and families and a range of special events throughout the year.

Refurbishment work

Visit our ground floor redevelopment pages for full details of our refurbishment scheme, and view the changes that are happening in our image galleries. Our refurbished galleries are due to open on Saturday 29 November and will be officially launched in February 2009. All re-opening dates are subject to building and construction work being completed. Keep your eyes peeled for up to date information.
