Permit fraud
It is a criminal offence to deliberately make a false statement on your application form, or to use a permit you are not entitled to.
Warning: any person knowingly making a false statement for the purpose of obtaining a Residents Parking Permit is liable to a fine not exceeding £1,000 (Section 115 (2) Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984)
Anyone who uses a permit they are not entitled to, reproduces or alters a permit, or deliberately makes a false statement on an application may be depriving legitimate residents and businesses of a parking place. We wish to prevent fraudulent applications and permit misuse.
If you know or suspect that someone is using a permit they are not entitled to please let us know by writing to The Parking Unit, Plymouth City Council, Ground Floor, Civic Centre, PL1 2AA or by emailing us. All details will remain confidential.
