Weekly lists

You can now access our latest weekly list of planning applications by viewing our Planning Online pages. Please make your comments so that they are received within 21 days of the publication date. Any comments submitted after this period will be accepted but will only be considered if the decision making process allows.

Our Planning Online web pages will give you access to planning application history both past and present. You can monitor the progress of applications, view decisions, view documents and directly comment on specific applications.

Our planning application performance

We aim to exceed the minimum targets that have been set by the Government for dealing with planning applications. These targets are split into three groups relating to the type of application:

• the first group is 'majors' and includes applications for 10 or more dwellings (or a site of at least 0.5 hectare for residential development) and at least 1000 square metres of non-residential floorspace (or a site of at least 1.0 hectare)
• the second group is 'minors' and includes proposals below the level of Majors, but excludes applications for changes of use and householder development
• the last group is 'others' and includes applications for changes of use, householder development, adverts and listed building consent

The minimum targets are 60% of Major applications to be determined within 13 weeks, 65% of Minor applications to be determined within eight weeks and 80% of Other applications to be determined within eight weeks. The attachment in the table below shows how we have been performing up to now and also the higher targets we have set ourselves for the future.
