Use our Self Service website to view your account balance and bill details, your payments and documents, sign up for e-billing and other online services.
Some sections may require you to register and you may need to answer some simple questions or have been issued a PIN number from us. Once you have done this it’s free and available 24 hours a day. If you need help on how to register please view our 'How to register' section.
If you have already registered, and are able to answer a few simple questions or have received a PIN number from us, you can start using our Self Service website straightaway by selecting one of the following services:
Visit the Self Service website and click on the ‘register now’ button.
You will be asked for your email address and you’ll need to set up a username, password and security questions.
An email will automatically be sent to your email address and you need to click on the link to activate your account. Once you’ve activated your account you can login at any time.
How to add your account
Before you start it would be useful if you had the following documents to hand:
- Housing Benefit – a benefit entitlement letter and your National Insurance Number
- Council Tax – a Council Tax bill
- Landlord – a payment schedule
- Business Rates – a Business Rates bill
Council Tax and Housing Benefit
If you want to access your Council Tax or Housing Benefit information please enter your reference number (this can be found on your council tax bill or benefit entitlement letter) and click on the Access Now button. You will be asked a number of security questions before being allowed access to your account. If you cannot provide enough information you will be directed to a page where you can request a PIN number to be sent to you in the post to your home address.
Business Rates or Landlord information
If you want to access your Business Rates or Landlord information please enter your reference number (this can be found on your bill or payment schedule) and click on the Access Now button. You will be asked a number of security questions before being allowed access to your account. If you cannot provide enough information you will be directed to a page where you can request a PIN number to be sent to the address we send your correspondence due.
PIN number received
Once you have received your PIN number from us sign into the Self Service website and select Add Service. Type in your reference number then click on the Enter your PIN button.
|Please note that, for security purposes, the PIN number will be sent to you by post to your home address. We cannot email PIN numbers.|
