This has been achieved through a focus of resources and activities designed to improve road safety by partner agencies, the community and ourselves. We are keen to continue reducing both the number and severity of injuries on our network by identifying accident cluster sites, implementing local safety schemes where necessary and increasing the amount of road safety education.
We are also keen for the public to participate in reducing speeding on Plymouth roads by helping us to identify sites where inappropriate speeding may be a problem. From this information we can prioritise our investigations and catalogue public perception of speeding issues. If you have a concern about speeding traffic you can either phone, email or complete the online form.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to respond to each individual who completes the form. However, we will by posting reports of our findings on this page of the website every three months from the 1 April 2006. If you would like to receive a copy of this report, please ensure you provide your email address at the end of the form.
Please note: This form is not suitable for the reporting of criminal speeding offences or enforcement requests. While the council is responsible for the design and maintenance of speed restrictions, enforcement can only be undertaken by the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary and the Devon and Cornwall Safety Camera Partnership.
