Project aims
Made possible by a £500,000 grant from the Big Lottery Access to Nature programme, Stepping Stones to Nature aims to:
- Make at least six local green spaces in Plymouth more welcoming, safer and better used by improving entrances, paths and signs together with local residents
- Tell more people about the parks, nature reserves and other green and coastal spaces that Plymouth has to offer, how to get there and what activities you can do in them
- Organise a range of fun, free outdoor activities to connect local people with natural spaces and get them active and healthy
- Support improved ways for green space managers, and community and health professionals to work together
- Run a research programme to report on changes created by the project and help us make them long lasting
