Woodland Wood
Woodland Wood is a Local Nature Reserve in the north of Plymouth, between the communities of Whitleigh and Honicknowle. It's a huge woodland area for a local city space - 29 hectares - which is equivalent to around 40 international football pitches! It sits in a steep sided valley containing a stream and has a range of habitats to enjoy, including semi-natural broad-leaved woodland, scrub, hedgerows and grasslands.
Local people have told us that they don't use the reserve as much as they could and that they would like to have improved entrances and paths, signage, seating and play features.
