Phase 2 temporary traffic regulation orders
Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs) have the same effect as a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) - but with a limited period of operation. The range of the orders can be anything from temporary road closures to temporary parking restrictions, depending on the needs and circumstances of each case. The most common order requested and granted is for road closures. These are often the most effective way of protecting the highway and highway users from danger or harm during excavation or activities on the road network. Consideration is always given to alternative routes for vehicles and wherever possible diversion signs will be placed to minimise disruption to motorists.
Phase 2 of the Railway Station Accessibility Improvement Project requires a number of TTROs to ensure that construction can operate effectively and reduce the risk of accidents to both construction workers and the general public during the works.
The TTRO is to allow safe construction of Phase 2 of the Railway Station Accessibility Improvement Project and is available to view below.
The roads affected by the TTRO are shown in map form on the PlymGo website. Visit the Roadworks section and look for '1327 North Road East' for details.
