All safeguarding adults training is free to attend.

Alerter's training - how to make an alert about abuse

Who is this for?

Anyone working within the Plymouth city boundaries who come into contact with vulnerable adults (care homes, statutory agencies, voluntary agencies etc), care workers, support workers, community care workers, befrienders, nurses, housing officers and all general council workers).

All staff should attend a half day Alerter update every three years.

Investigator training (for NHS and Local Authority Staff)

Who is this for?

All staff involved in investigations should attend the new Investigator training. This group should include community care workers, social workers, Band 6 Nurses, and other professionals such as psychologists, occupational therapists. This is a two-day course.


Registered managers training (for providers)

Who is it for?

Registered managers of provider services working within the Plymouth city limits.

Responsible managers training - Level 3 (for NHS and Local Authority Staff)

Who is it for?

All operational managers should attend Responsible Managers training once a year.
