Approving the match

We will not pressure you to adopt the first child we suggest because it is important that the match is right for everyone concerned. If, after a great deal of thought, you feel that a particular child could be right for you, your and the child's social workers will present a report to the Adoption and Permanence Panel. In the vast majority of cases, the Panel recommends the match and the decision-maker approves their recommendation.

If you, your social worker or the Adoption and Permanence Panel do not feel the child is right for you then we will continue to pro-actively search for a suitable child for you.
