The 'Plymouth Pictured' photography competition

In partnership with Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery, we offered young people a chance to help establish a permanent record of the city's foreshore for future generations.

The images had to show how you relate to the foreshore or what the foreshore means to you. The top three entries in the competition won a digital camera.

1st prize went to the young people from the Maya Centre PTS for their entry 'Maya 6' showing young people throwing stones into the sea.

1st runner-up prize went to fcreed2010's showing a young person taking a photograph on Plymouth Hoe

2nd runner-up prize went to jassss:) showing a family day out on the Hoe.

All of the best entries will be added to the Record Office's archive collections, helping to create a legacy for others to enjoy in the years to come.
