Your new National pass will have a ‘+’ symbol in the top right hand corner, which will indicate to the driver that you are entitled to this additional concession.
You should report this to Plymouth City Council immediately and we will arrange for a replacement pass to be sent to you free of charge. Once you have received the new pass, the one showing incorrect details should be returned to the Public Transport Team, Plymouth City Council, Civic Centre, Plymouth, PL1 2AA.
If you have an age pass this will automatically be renewed and sent to you before the expiry date. If you have a disability pass you will need to renew your pass in person, bringing with you relevant proof of your eligibility.
Because your information was taken from the blue badge database and your badge expired this year, your pass expiry defaulted to the same as your blue badge expiry date.
To ensure we do not have to re-issue 47,000 passes to residents at the same time again in a few years we have staggered the expiry date on the passes. Some passes expire this year, others run until 2013. If you are over 60 and have been issued with a new concessionary bus pass, you will automatically receive a new pass in the post before your existing pass expires.
If you were 60 on or before 5 April 2010 you will need to renew your pass in person bringing with you relevant proof of your eligibility. This process takes ten working days so please allow time for your pass to arrive before the current pass expires. You can re-register from 21 April 2008 at the Civic Centre.
When you become 80 you will automatically be re-issued with the new over 80s pass that will entitle you to free travel within Plymouth before 9.30am weekdays.
