Scheme 1

Installation of real time passenger information displays at key bus stops to improve information about public transport.

Adding raised kerbs at bus stops making it easier for passengers to get on and off buses.

Air quality monitoring at various locations throughout the city.

Developing a Strategic Cycle Network to allow targeted improvements to the network in the future and encourage cycling.

The Strategic Cycle Network, allowing targeted improvements to the network to encourage cycling, is now an adopted policy document. Schemes are being taken forward to deliver aspects of the network including cycle network improvements in the East End, to be delivered as part of the East End Transport Scheme, and a cycle path at Leigham Primary School which is being jointly funded by the Council and Sustrans and is anticipated to be delivered in summer 2010.
