Dementia quality mark

Plymouth City Council is co-ordinatind a pilot to introduce a dementia quality mark for care homes on behalf of the South West Dementia Partnership.

The Dementia Quality Mark (DQM) aims to reassure people choosing services that the care being given meets the needs of people with dementia. For example, a DQM would be particularly helpful for families wanting to select a care home. The DQM also sets standards which those providing services can aspire to.
