A range of employment and training services are available both locally and nationally to help people find work regardless of their level of ability.
Local services
Industrial Services Group (PLUSS)
A joint arrangement between Plymouth City, Devon County and Torbay Councils to provide effective support to enable people with a disability to reach their full potential within employment.
PLUSS can offer you advice, support, training and development to make that first step into employment. They offer a range of services based on your individual needs, at various locations in Plymouth, Devon and Torbay.
Their mission statement is: "To enable the maximum number of people with disabilities to gain and sustain paid employment in the most cost effective manner possible. Ideally such employment should be in an open and integrated environment, but when this is not appropriate or immediately available, programmes will be developed to maximise potential and develop existing skills in a stimulating and supportive setting."

A single point of access to government information and services. This includes the Disability Discrimination Act, the Disability Rights Commission and the proposed Commission for Equality and Human Rights as well as a free benefit enquiry line.
