Efford Marsh Local Nature Reserve

Efford Marsh Local Nature Reserve

Efford Marsh is located in the east of Plymouth, between the residential district of Efford and Marsh Mills. The site covers 25ha and is owned by Plymouth City Council and managed by Parks Services. The reserve is currently an under-used resource as a result of being bounded by two major roads (to the north by the A38 and to the east by the A374 Embankment Road). The site contains a number of habitats including mature broad-leaved woodland, planted community woodland, hedgerows, semi-improved grassland, scattered scrub. marshland and running water.

There are a number of footpaths and rides across the site. Efford Marsh is easily accessible by public transport with bus stops at Deer Park and Blandford Road.
