Essential visitor permit renewal

You must apply for a permit at least 14 working days before your current permit ends or your new permit may not arrive before your current permit expires.

If you need to do an advanced renewal before this time, for example you know you will be away during the month your permit expires, you will need to return your existing permit and renewal form and find alternative parking until your new permit arrives.

How do I renew my permit?

If your doctor has confirmed your need for permanent essential care you will be required to provide a prescription dated in the last three months.

If your doctor has not confirmed the essential care is permanent we will require another doctor's declaration form. Your renewal letter will tell you if you need to provide a doctor's form.

The renewal fee is currently £25. Cheques should be made payable to Plymouth City Council (please do not send cash through the post).
