All enquires and correspondence about Higher Education funding for new and returning students should now be addressed to Student Finance England.
You can write to them at Student Finance England, PO Box 210, Darlington, DL1 9HJ, telephone 0845 300 5090 or email sfd_p.u_enquiries@slc.co.uk.
Funding for courses of further education such as National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 or A levels, is usually dealt with by the school or college which is providing the course. However, if you are in the sixth form at school and do not qualify for an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA), or have a financial emergency, we do also administer a school access fund.
Forms for the 2010/11 School Access Fund are currently available from all Plymouth Secondary schools. Please note that there is only a limited amount in the School Access Fund, and funds are allocated to qualifying students in the order in which their applications are received. Once the funds have been exhausted no more will be allocated, even if the applicant would have qualified otherwise. All students are therefore encouraged to apply as early as possible. Please see the link on the left of this page.
Any queries about the School Access Fund should now be addressed to John Bale, 14-19 Adviser, telephone 01752 307328.
