We welcome your views on all our services, and there are a number of ways that you can tell us what you think. Our consultation calendar provides links to our online consultations.
Statement of Community Involvement
There are a number of commitments that we make to you and these are described in the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). We want to ensure that:
- your involvement is effective and influential
- you are linked to decisions being made
- our decisions better relate to your aspirations and needs
- through our engagement processes, we gain your trust and confidence.
Equalities and diversity
A key part of our work to ensure that everyone living in Plymouth has equal access to, and an equal say in developing our services, is our recently published Equality Scheme. Our Equality Scheme helps in our efforts to tackle discrimination and create fair and accessible services for everyone.
Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs) help us review our existing services from the perspective of all communities in the city.
We are constantly seeking new ways to engage and consult with people from different backgrounds. The 'Diverse Plymouth' initiative has been set up with the involvement of a number of groups in the city who represent the interests of diverse communities (such as the disabled and Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) people).
