Photo of John Dory

John Dory

John Dory (Zeus faber) is an edible fish with an arresting appearance. Its body is tall and laterally compressed and a large dark spot along its flank acts as a false eye to confuse prey species. It has a large mouth and it has several spines protruding from its dorsal fin.

For more information on the John Dory visit MarLin.
