The Lesser Spotted Dogfish (Scyliorhinus canicula) is a member of the catshark family and grows to approximately 80cm in British waters. This species is a bottom dweller and feeds mainly on crabs, shrimp, molluscs and bottom-dwelling fish. They tend to be nocturnal, resting on the seabed during the day.
