Moving abroad

If you are a British Citizen and you intend to move abroad to live or work, you may a still be able to register to vote at Parliamentary Elections.

Your right to vote in the United Kingdom can last up to 15 years after you were last regisitered in the United Kingdom. At the time of an election you can apply to vote by post or proxy.

Further details can be obtained from the Electoral Registration Services Team or you can download a form from the Electoral Commission and return it to the Electoral Registration Service.
