To shop 'til I drop
Is a dream I still have
With designer bags full
Of just stuff
But my health won’t allow
Me to flit through the town
Buying Monsoon and Jaeger
And other such stuff.
Days of playing Emelda
Are no longer fun
And the labels I cherish
From e-bay now come
EXCEPT - NOT GOOD ENOUGH
I need the buzz
To see the goods in a shop
To feel the leather
To stroke the fabric
To smell the perfume
TO BE INVOLVED
That 's what we had
As it used to be
As it should be
Will the new development give us just that?
Will my M & S inspire and please
Will the food feast my eyes
Send me weak at the knees
But please give me some chairs
To rest now and then
Then I’ll shop 'til I drop
Not drop when I shop.
