Human Cargo response

'Human Cargo' was Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery's major exhibition for autumn 2007 and marked the 200th anniversary of the 1807 Act of Abolition.

The exhibition explored Plymouth and Devon's links with the development of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the Abolition movement and also looked at the contemporary legacies of slavery that remain with us today.

Our response to the exhibition and its themes took many different forms and included formal education activities, music, special events and specific projects. Click on the links below to find out more about some of them.
