Requesting and purchasing images

Images for personal use or private study

• We have many images on the Plymouth City Museum and Archives Prints website. You can use this to buy prints, canvases or mugs.
• If you’ve seen an image in our online galleries or catalogues which is not on our Plymouth City Museum and Archives Prints website, please complete our reproduction agreement and state where you saw the image online.
• If you’d like a different image, please contact the image service with as many details as possible. We'll then check we can assist with your request. Once this is confirmed, you need to complete a personal use agreement form below. Payment will be charged according to the type of image you request (printed or digital). Our prices are on the personal use agreement below.
• If you purchase prints or images for personal, study or reference, this does not include rights of reproduction. If you wish to reproduce the image in a print or digital form, please read what to do below.

Images for reproduction use (printed or digital)

• You are advised to contact us with the details of your request, including object/title, accession number, and details of your publication. Please also notify us if you are working towards a specific deadline. We will check that we can fulfil your request.
• Once this is confirmed, you need to return a signed reproduction agreement before we can process your request. Once this has been checked, we will contact you about payment and delivery.
• Our reproduction rights fees are listed on the reproduction agreement form below.

Payment and delivery

All customers are required to complete the relevant paperwork and provide payment before the image(s) can be released. We accept payment in cash, cheque or over the phone using major cards. We can also email or post a VAT receipt where needed.

Our postal orders are despatched using Royal Mail. We can send most digital copies by email, but regret that we are unable to send images using FTP transfer.
