Plymouth Pictured: A City Through a Lens has aimed to improve access to the image archive collections held at the Plymouth and West Devon Record Office, the Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery and the South West Film and Television Archive, based upon themes pertinent to Plymouth's past, present and future - home and community, building the city, sea and seaside, transport.
As a result of the project, a 'blended' archive from all collections is available for ongoing education and outreach. The project represents a major collaborative effort between the heritage services of Plymouth City Council and SWFTA who look forward to a continuing close-working relationship.
Plymouth Pictured: A City Through a Lens has been made possible by the kind financial support of Renaissance, South West Screen and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
