If you have not yet received a confirmation of supply letter then we can accept a copy of a signed dated tenancy agreement or a residential mortgage agreement showing your name, address and mortgage period. Alternatively you can provide a solicitors letter showing completion so we can issue a temporary permit until you can provide one of the accepted proofs.
If you do not have your V5 (log book) then we can accept an insurance document which shows your name and registration (this does not have to be at the current address). You can provide the 'new keepers' portion of the V5 for a temporary permit until you can provide one of the accepted proofs.
The permit remains the property of the applicant (or in the case of a business permit the property of the business) and can be transferred to a new vehicle. Please note it is not possible to transfer a permit from one resident to another. A business permit may be transferred to a new employee.
An example of a tenancy agreement that includes all of the required information is below.
The term of the tenancy (start and end date) are used as the validation dates. The signature date would not be taken into account unless it was signed over a year ago.
A letter from the letting agency or landlord can be accepted in addition to an unsigned tenancy. The letter must be on headed paper.
When supplying a copy of your tenancy please ensure that the parts or pages with the following details are included.
As long as the tenancy has these items then it is valid for the issue of a residents parking permit.
If the other housemate is not contactable you would need to contact the landlord for a duplicate copy of the tenancy.
You will not be able to get a residents permit until you have either:
If the tenancy is unsigned, a letter on headed paper from the landlord or agent can be accepted in addition to the tenancy agreement.
Instead of a tenancy we can accept a personal bill, bank statement or bill sent to you at your Plymouth term time address.
You will not be able to get a residents permit until you have either:
If the tenancy is unsigned, a letter on headed paper from the landlord or agent can be accepted in addition to the tenancy agreement. We will also accept an email from the landlord with the landlords name on.
