Wildlife and planning

We have a duty to conserve biodiversity (the variety of life on earth) in exercising its functions under the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act (NERC Act 2006). Planning Services provides strategic and case by case nature conservation advice in order to protect and enhance Plymouth's biodiversity and geodiversity. For more information please refer to the Council’s Environment Policy and Forward Plan 2009-2012.
