Wixenford Quarry Marsh is located in the south east of Plymouth just off the A379 at Plymstock. The site covers 1.98ha and is privately owned and managed is not accessible to the public. A variety of habitats are present including, woodland, plantation woodland, grassland, swamp and still water.
The site is designated as a County Wildlife Site because of records of the scarce blue-tailed damselfly and keeled skimmer. Notable plant species records include yellow vetchling and twiggy mullein. There is abundant marsh orchid in spring.
