Phase 1 improvements
November 2009 to April 2010
We are aiming to develop Woodland Wood Local Nature Reserve to be more welcoming, easier to get in and around and to provide a range of activities for the local community.
Activities
- Make improvements to entrances, paths and signage and install play features
- Work with residents and local groups to get their ideas and involve them in the improvements
- Run free activities on the site to encourage local people, schools and youth service to visit and want to go back in the future
- Take photos to show what we have been doing
- Ask local people what difference the improvements make to how they use the nature reserve
- Support local people to form a friends group to help look after the reserve
- Develop a plan for keeping the reserve well looked after and used
