The Yellow Cluster Anemone (Parazoanthus axinellae) is a colonial anemone, with its columns often encrusted with sand grains. The mouth is in the middle of the oral disk surrounded by tentacles armed with many cnidocytes, cells that contain poison and explode into either prey or predators. Sea anemones prey on small fish and shrimp.
