Commonwealth war graves at Efford cemetery
Efford Cemetery contains 338 burials from the First World War and 109 burials from the Second World War. There is a wall plaque commemorating 61 Second World War servicemen and women who were cremated at Efford Crematorium and this can be found set into a recess behind the Cross of Sacrifice.
Maintenance of these graves is carried out by the cemetery authority under a third party agreement with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The commission has an area office in Leamington Spa that is responsible for maintenance issues of all war memorials in the United Kingdom. If you have any specific questions please contact them direct.
