Language needs

What we do…

• Provide advice, support and training to mainstream primary and secondary schools around young people with language and communication as the main need.
• Carry out informal and curriculum based assessments of young people’s needs within their school setting.
• Provide relevant strategies and resources to schools and parents.
• Deliver training to school staff around language and  communication needs, particularly relating to effective Wave 3 interventions.
• Support schools in developing their capacity to cater for young people with language and communication needs.
• Support with enhanced transition of young people from Nursery to Foundation as well as Key Stage Two to Key Stage Three.
