How did the concessionary bus pass scheme used to work?
From 1 April 2006 we have offered free off peak local bus travel within Plymouth, from 9.30am to 11pm weekdays and with no time restrictions at weekends and bank holidays. Those eligible residents who are over 80 or registered blind are able to travel before 9.30am weekdays.
In the budget statement 2006, it said that free national (England) off peak local bus travel would be introduced from 1 April 2008.
As a Plymouth resident over the age of 60 or registered disabled you will be entitled to travel free on local bus services across England between 9.30am and 11pm weekdays with no time restrictions at weekends or bank holidays.
As a Plymouth City resident over 80 or registered blind you will be to travel before 9.30am weekdays.
