‘Twofour Productions was founded 17 years ago and has grown from a 3-person operation to one of the largest independent television production companies in the country with its new media arm, Twofourtv, being the UK's number one for online business communications. We now employ over 130 staff drawing on the region's exceptional creative and technical talents. We have thrived in Plymouth not least because it is a city which is actively supporting the creative industries, not just with funding but in education too. We have certainly benefited from the excellent media courses offered by the university, with some very able graduates joining our training schemes. The South West is also a wonderful place to live. We have just located to new premises in the Estover area of Plymouth - to a building which offered all the facilities we needed to bring our staff, who were based at four different sites, under one roof. The building is ideal, large enough to house dedicated production facilities, including 12 edit suites and dubbing studio, as well as spacious offices for our many production teams. It also allows us to make huge improvements to the technical facilities for the multi-media design team. Plymouth is a great place to live and to work and we are proud of the range of broadcast programmes we produce here and the hi-tech web-based communication services we offer. With 170 hours of programming being commissioned last year for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, five, Sky One and Discovery, and with business clients such as Audi, VW, DTI, Cadbury Scwheppes, Pfizer and Reuters, Twofour is a Plymouth-based company which can compete with any independent production company in the UK.’
